# Run Sydekyks locally

Sydekyks user and operator guide. Check feature availability and release-specific installation requirements.

Use Docker Compose installation (https://docs.sydekyks.com/install/options/docker-compose) to run Sydekyks locally. It downloads the public Sydekyks image and starts PostgreSQL with pgvector and Redis alongside it.

The first public release supports fresh PostgreSQL installations. A single-container embedded PGLite database is not supported for this release. Do not replace an existing development database with the fresh-install package.

Keep the default localhost binding for evaluation. Create the first administrator account and start using the free platform. No license key or activation is required.
