# Community deployment on Kubernetes

Sydekyks user and operator guide. Check feature availability and release-specific installation requirements.

Sydekyks 1.0.6 is validated through Docker Compose (https://docs.sydekyks.com/install/options/docker-compose). This Kubernetes reference is not a tested installation package for that release.

Sydekyks 1.0.6 is validated through Docker Compose (https://docs.sydekyks.com/install/options/docker-compose). This Kubernetes reference is not a tested installation package for that release.

The upstream repository includes a Helm deployment option. Reconcile its chart with the pinned Sydekyks source before use. The upstream tutorial’s AP_EDITION=ee setting is not the baseline for this guide.

## Required choices

- Build and publish the Sydekyks image to the private registry your cluster uses.

- Set the chart’s image repository and tag to that verified image.

- Set AP_EDITION=ce and a supported execution mode.

- Configure PostgreSQL, Redis, encryption/JWT secrets and the public frontend URL.

- Configure persistent file storage, ingress/HTTPS and worker CPU/memory limits.

Use Kubernetes Secrets or the approved deployment secret mechanism for credentials. Do not place live credentials in public values files.

## Validate chart values

Inspect the chart shipped with the application revision. Field names can change between upstream releases. Render the templates and reconcile the resulting pod environment, volume mounts and service names before applying them.

The core environment choices include:

```
AP_EDITION: ce
AP_DB_TYPE: POSTGRES
AP_EXECUTION_MODE: SANDBOX_CODE_ONLY
AP_WORKER_CONCURRENCY: "1"
```

This is an environment fragment, not a complete chart values file. Map it to the fields supported by the selected chart.

## Release checks

Test health, persistence, trigger invocation, WebSocket routing, email, provider callbacks and restore. Confirm worker resources and replica counts support the expected workload. See production setup (https://docs.sydekyks.com/install/configure-operate/production-setup).

Worker-group assignment is outside this configuration.
