This example explains a workflow to configure for your own process. It is not an installed template or a completed customer deployment.

Define the packet

Choose the bill identifier, supplier, amount, supporting documents and approver rules. Decide where the original documents and the final decision are stored.

Build the sequence

  1. Receive a bill event from the chosen inbox, form or storage app.
  2. Store the source document reference and item identifier.
  3. Extract the fields using an approved parser/OCR service if needed.
  4. Compare the supplier and document requirements with the selected records system.
  5. Route incomplete packets to a follow-up path.
  6. Prepare a review packet for the authorized approver.
  7. Record the decision and continue only along its intended outcome.

Keep the boundaries clear

Extraction prepares values for review. It does not establish accounting correctness or authority to pay. Use the customer’s rules for who may approve, which evidence is required and what changes invalidate an earlier decision.

Test

Use synthetic bills to cover a complete packet, a missing document, an unknown supplier, a duplicate bill and a changed amount after review. Check that each result is visible and that the workflow does not create duplicate records on retry. See files and documents, human review and retries.
